If Diablo 4's Sorcerer is Taylor Swift, the new Warlock class coming as part of the game's Lord of Hatred expansion is Megadeth, bringing some heavy metal-energy to Blizzard's ARPG.
That's according to lead art director Nick Chilano in an interview with GameSpot ahead of Blizzard's full Warlock reveal. Chilano said when coming up with the look and feel of the Warlock, Blizzard was essentially starting from scratch. After all, the Warlock is a new class that's never been playable in Diablo before.
He said he had a particular image in his mind when coming up with the class's aesthetic, one of different Diablo 4 classes as pop-culture icons.
