In recent years, Final Fantasy games have eventually found their way to players outside the PlayStation-sphere. Final Fantasy 15 was ported to Xbox and PC and 16 was just released on PC this past September, but Final Fantasy Remake and Rebirth have yet to make it Xbox--something co-director Naoki Hamaguchi wants to remedy.
Talking to GamesRadar, Hamaguchi expressed the desire to bring the Final Fantasy Remake series to as many fans as possible as well as the change the industry needs to face by bringing games to a lot more platforms. As a self-described Xbox fan, Hamaguchi wants to see more of that.
"In terms of Final Fantasy 7, there's nothing really we can say at the moment, but certainly I do want to bring Final Fantasy 7 and the Remake series to as many players out there as possible," he said, despite not having any sort of power over the decision. "So we want to create that situation, that environment, where more players can play the games in the future, and we want to look in that direction."
